How Hypnotherapy Works- It’s not Magic

Hypnotherapy has long been associated with some kind of dubious mind control or theatre show and so naturally it may feel a little foreign to turn to if you are already feeling vulnerable.

Did you know that it is a state you naturally enter throughout your day already and that learning how to use it to your advantage can really be life changing?

When we learn how to access a hypnotic state  using Hypnotherapy we can learn, embed, heal and empower different outcomes for yourself with the support of your subconscious mind. This is why Hypnotherapy is so effective because you have the support deep within your subconscious mind to help you achieve your goals.

Recent studies have compared the results from traditional Counselling and Hypnotherapy to find that Hypnosis not only had a longer effect on the clients wellbeing but also took a lot less time- comparing an average client who benefited from talk therapy at 20 sessions compared to a client who benefited from only 6 sessions of Hypnotherapy. While each client is of coarse individual in the length of sessions they could benefit from it is only common sense to not want to work on more than is necessary and so this is in my opinion a kinder way of working.

I have lost track of the number of clients who have told me they wish they had tried Hypnosis sooner stating this was their ‘what have I got to loose’ moment only to find it was what they had been looking for all along! Very empowering and a joy to watch how this can have such a profound affect on people’s lives.
